Saudi Aramco Nabors Drilling Company, or SANAD, is a 50/50 joint venture partnership between Saudi Aramco and Nabors Drilling. SANAD is one of the anchor projects that has emerged from Saudi Arabia's efforts to introduce world-class industry hubs locally, to foster economic growth & job creation.

SANAD is a pioneer in land drilling market and delivers best-in-class drilling performance through its environmental stewardship, exceptional execution, technology, teamwork and our highly skilled in-Kingdom and international workforce. The company continues to adopt, evaluate, and implement new and innovate ways to execute safe, efficient, and sustainable drilling operations.

The company has state of the art In-house Training Facility (IADC & OPITO Accreditation) with various training programs. These trainings and programs provide participants with job skills training to ensure that they have the necessary skills to conduct the jobs safely and efficiently.

SANAD has embarked on Saudi Aramco’s flagship project for purchasing of In-Kingdom (IK) built land rigs. The company has placed order for the 1st tranche (5 rigs) of the 50 new rigs envisioned over a period of 10 years. It has successfully deployed it’s first In-Kingdom manufactured drilling rig. SANAD currently operates more than 43 rigs with approximately 4,000+ employees.
