Solo Box aggregates WITS data from multiple vendors at the rig site and transmits them to the WITSML server as a single data stream using compressed JSON file format, which, in turn, significantly reduces the Internet traffic at remote locations. SoloBox supports trajectories, MWD/LWD and mudlogging data as well as drilling operation data from various EDR systems. The aggregator works both via serial RS-232 and TCP/IP communication standards. Each set of data sent by Solo Box is being locally stored on the Solo Box database which allows eliminating the gaps due to poor Internet connection.
WITS aggregator Solo Box is crafted to quickly set up the system at the rig featuring an intuitive web interface and a wide range of mapping capabilities. Flexible mapping allows a user to assign customized mnemonics, descriptions, and units meeting the client’s standards while creating an easy-to-read log object structure on WITSML server.
